It is expected that all students will complete the set homework. There will be common elements for all students from P-6 and each year level will have the same homework tasks. Students completing homework will receive positive reinforcement for their effort. Parents will be contacted if children are not completing the set homework.
We particularly encourage reading at home for all year levels. The homework given provides students with opportunities to consolidate their learning and pattern behaviour for lifelong learning beyond the classroom and involve family members in their learning.
The setting of homework takes into account the need for students to have a balanced lifestyle, which includes sufficient time for family, recreational and cultural activities.
Homework Club
Homework Club runs each Thursday 3:15pm to 4:15pm and afternoon tea is provided. Spaces are limited and students must be registered https://www.trybooking.com/BXLTI. Parents will need to collect their child/children from the ROAR Room at 4:15pm.
