Curriculum

PublishingPageContent

Students across Australia will have a consistent curriculum in English, Mathematics, Science and Humanities and Social Science in 2013 and these will be the four core learning areas every young Australian will study during their education from Prep to Year 10. To assist with the implementation of the Australian Curriculum, Education Queensland has introduced a resource called Curriculum into the Classroom (C2C).  Our teachers adapt them to meet the needs of their year level, class and students. The units of work incorporate technology, thinking skills and creative design.

Agreed vision

Our curriculum goals reflect departmental priorities and community expectations.

We seek to maximise school improvement by engaging in frequent and scheduled professional planning and sharing across the school and cluster.

Priorities

  • Reading
  • Implementing the Australian Curriculum and adapting Curriculum to Classroom (C2C) documents to meet the needs of Redbank Plains State School's learners.
